Sadie up at Primary Childrens Medical Center

Sadie in the PICU with RSV. She was put on a C-PAP to help her breath and get all the carbon dioxide out of her lungs. They first tried HI-Flow but she was gasping for air and turning purple so they had to put her on this c-pap. It was a very scary time.

After Sadie was on C-pap for about 4 days they put her on the HI-Flow. Along with the c-pap she had a NG tube and a NJ feeding tube. Poor baby girl. When they were trying to put the feeding tube in, the tube was wrapped around the NG tube so they pulled out the NG tube! One less tube was nice!

On Wednesday Sadie was taken off the HI-Flow and was on regular oxygen with her feeding tube!
That same day they let her have a bottle for the first time since Friday! Then they took the feeding tube out! Thursday Sadie was out of the PICU and on the Infant Unit of the 4th floor! She was happy and talking! It was a Happy Day! I was sick of her looking like a boy and not having her bows on that the tech brought a bow and put elmers glue on her head. It looked funny so I found her purple headband in my bag and did my best tying it on the headband so she didn't look like a new born!
That night on Thursday they took her off the oxygen at 6pm! She was staying in the 90's!! She was so cute and the nurses had so much fun with her. Then on Friday we were able to go home!! She was doing so much better and didn't have to have deep suctioning anymore. This kids missed her so much! We love her and glad it didn't get worse!
